In these super mellow candle-lit restorative yoga workshops we’ll practice mindful movement, soothing restorative yoga, pranayama (the movement of energy with breath) that will create equilibrium in the nervous system and seated meditation. The practice will cumulate in a blissful guided savasana.

Restorative Yoga is a quiet, contemplative practice where a state of active relaxation is cultivated through a sequence of supported poses, mindful movement and breath awareness. Props such as bolsters,blankets and yoga blocks are often used to create optimal support as positions can be held for several minutes at a time to encourage deeper release and opening within the body, mind and breath and feelings of tranquility and peacefulness.

Join me for yang style vinyasa flow yoga to strengthen and warm the body followed by a cooling, floor based yin sequence to promote spaciousness with longer holds and breath work. The workshop culminates in a sweet final relaxation to soothe and settle the nervous system.

This workshop is suitable for those with some yoga experience.

Yoga for Stress, Anxiety and Insomnia
Friday 22nd June, 7-9pm
The Scouts Hut, Springfield Lane, Weybridge

Life sometimes seems to blow us off course, how can we drop anchor in turbulent times?

In this special workshop we will investigate yogic approaches that help us deal with the effects of stress and anxiety as well as practical ways to cope with insomnia.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners from newcomers to the more experienced and those recovering from injury or illness. We will practice a combination of classic restorative yoga with full set ups, breathing techniques, meditation and deep relaxation.

Places are limited to just 12 so that you get plenty of individual attention from myself and my experienced assistants. We will have double the props as normal to use.

Please bring your your mat, something to cover your eyes (an eye mask, eye pillow or scarf) and 2 blankets. All bolsters and blocks will be provided but if you have these please bring too.
