Looking to restore and rejuvenate? This is the perfect opportunity to take some time out for yourself, to move, stretch and breathe, learn about nourishing raw food, create better eating habits and ways to incorporate them into your daily life.
Join me and passionate Health Coach, Lyndy Stanway Marsh, for a yoga and vibrant nutrition day retreat at the stunning Yoga Sp8ce studio, set in peaceful private woodland with a tranquil lake view. There’s no better way to boost your energy, unwind, get healthy and to give your full attention to you and your health.
First, we’ll take a dynamic, energising yoga flow created to open and strengthen the body and promote better energy flow throughout the mind-body network. We’ll then explore nutrition with a cookery demonstration and delicious raw lunch. After we’ve eaten, you will be taken though an interactive and engaging talk on healthy eating habits and integrative health. You will come away with new health and food techniques to enhance your well-being. Our day will end with a blissful restorative yoga session, where we’ll take mellow supported opening and releasing yoga asana, pranayama and meditation.

In these super mellow candle-lit restorative yoga workshops we’ll practice mindful movement, soothing restorative yoga, pranayama (the movement of energy with breath) that will create equilibrium in the nervous system and seated meditation. The practice will cumulate in a blissful guided savasana.
Restorative Yoga is a quiet, contemplative practice where a state of active relaxation is cultivated through a sequence of supported poses, mindful movement and breath awareness. Props such as bolsters,blankets and yoga blocks are often used to create optimal support as positions can be held for several minutes at a time to encourage deeper release and opening within the body, mind and breath and feelings of tranquility and peacefulness.

Lyndy will teach you how to create a delicious and nourishing raw lunch. She will then discuss easy ways in which you can empower yourself to make positive and beneficial energy upgrades to your everyday health.
The class consists of dynamic vinyasa flow to strengthen, cleanse and build heat in the body (yang) followed by sweet stretches and releasing restorative yoga and meditation (yin) to promote peace, clarity and balance within.

Our practice will cumulate in a blissful guided savasana.

Journey Through the Chakras Yoga Workshop, Sunday 31st August, The Scouts Hut, Weybridge
Join me on Sunday 31st August from 5pm – 7pm for a yoga workshop to explore the seven chakras at The Scouts Hut on Springfield Lane, Weybridge.
In this workshop we’ll take a journey through the seven energy centres, or chakras, that reside within the subtle body. We’ll work up from the base to the crown and look to create balance and harmony through the whole system, with a combination of mindful movement, gentle core work, restorative yoga, meditation and pranayama.

What a wonderful week of yoga at the magical Suleyman’s Garden on Turkey’s stunning Turquoise Coast that was for our first Good Vibes yoga holiday.
It was such a great trip, we already have the dates for next year, do join us 13th -20th July 2015 for more adventures in the sunshine.
This year’s Yoga Garden Party in aid of The HOPE Foundation takes place on Saturday 26th July at Commonwork near Sevenoaks, Kent. Now in it’s fourth year, our yoga event has raised over £23,000 which goes directly to improve the lives of the street and slum children in Kolkata, India.
There’s a great selection of yoga classes to try with some of our favourite UK teachers including Simon Low, Liz Lark, Catherine Annis, Fiona Agombar, Colin Dunsmuir, Gill Lloyd, Tuesday McNeill and more plus a real variety of classes to try from a gong bath to vinyasa flow, kundalini yoga to vedic chant.
In addition there’s a host of well being treatments to induldge in from Indian Head Massage, Reiki to Bowen, delicious fresh food and drink, live music, kirtan and fun stuff and yoga for kids.
The day is only £25 per person (kids under 16 are free) or you can make a whole weekend of it for £295 (includes two night accommodation, some meals, the Garden Party on the Saturday and day of yin and yang yoga with Simon Low on the Sunday).

Suleyman’s Garden is in a stunning location overlooking the Mediterranean, with swimming from a rocky cove a five-minute walk away. It is also not far from lovely Kabak Beach, an hours walk along a beautiful coastal path in the shade of the pine forest or alternatively 15 minutes by road. Further along the coast, accessible only by boat, is wonderful, isolated Springwater Beach.
Accommodation is within traditionally constructed huts set amid lovingly-tended floral gardens. Bathrooms are plentiful and shared around the site.
£795 with a £275 optional single supplement fee. The fee includes all meals on site, accommodation and teaching (please note flights are not included).
There will be an optional boat trip during the week.

Up until a few years ago I guess you could say I was a bit of a yoga purist and the pilates classes I had been to had always seemed, well, rather dry in comparison! Not so Jeannie di Bon’s Creattiva Pilates in Hinchley Wood.
I have found Jeannie’s real passion for anatomy and movement combined with her thorough understanding of the pilates system to be incredibly complimentary to my yoga practice and to my core strength and stability. Yoga and pilates together make a super rewarding combination and the idea that they are opposing disciplines, where if you practice one you don’t need the other, isn’t necessary. Joseph Pilates himself was a keen practitioner of yoga and it’s fascinating to see the influence of yoga asana on pilates poses…
